This is how I love to spend my Saturday mornings. Or any morning, for that matter. My favorite magazine and a cup of something warm makes me happy. Unfortunately, it doesn't happen very often.
Today, I decided to MAKE it happen. My dentist, of all people, recently told me I had too much stress (Who, me? I'm a stay-at-home, homeschooling mom to five...what could be stressful about that? Ha!) and that I needed to spend more time doing things I enjoy.
Well, this is one of the things I enjoy. But...don't be fooled. Sophia, Jake, and Peppa played in the background on the TV, and two of my children added to the soundtrack with their arguing while attempting to climb Mount Mama.
The point is, I still made an effort to add some relaxation to my day. I wouldn't trade anything for the opportunity I have to stay home with my children, but stress is a given part of that life. It's a part of life, period. We could all use some time to slow down and do something just for ourselves once in a while.
